The Chaos Whale decided that the previous iteration hurt it's head, so it used it's chaotic powers to wind back time to see another outcome....
Part 1
Captain Chaos looked over his troops for the last time before they would begin the attack on Abel's base. He paused for a moment to gather his thoughts before speaking to inspire his troops. " Creatures of Chaos! We have fought many battles in order to prove our right to exist! Along the way we have made many friends all who have suffered from war from one way or another. Here we have a new force that threatens to destroy us one by one while hoping we wait in indecision! We will not stand for this! We have already suffered an attack by them! They had the cowardice to try to deny that it was their doing! These creatures will stop at nothing to take over our land not caring for those already on it! We march to put an end to this! We march for our friends! We march on.... TO VICTORY!"
Captain Chaos's troops erupt with battle cries along with Clapton's troops. Clapton himself decided that Captain Chaos spoke enough, it was his fight - he came to support his friend.
On the other side of the battlefield Abel was giving his own troops a prep talk having his radar detect the large incoming force. " Our home iz unzer great peril! Our way of ze life is zat stake! Our people dezpend zon us! Zese natives cannot be allowed to stand in our way. If ve fall here all of your families at home fill face ze same fate! Now, fight! Fight for your Sultan! Fight for ze homeland!" The Desert forces roared back matching the battle cries.
Dillon leads the White Chaosmin confident in the elemental resistance armor that his troops are using. The Fog at Legs spews it's poisonous gas around shrouding the Chaosmin as they approach the base as they get closer they realize that there are some cacti on the ground. Dillon shoots one of them turning into stone thinking back to the Cactus Pikmin they saw in the attack. There was no doubting it, these were definitely the guys that attacked them. That particular cactus was a real cactus however. Dillon decided to let the Fog at Legs proceed slightly ahead to take care of real cactus troops.
He heard some panicked firing through the fog and pressed onwards to take out the base defenses. At first these attacks came rather slowly with the tinking of needles imbedding themselves into the Fog at Legs being the only sound Dillon heard within the fog. All the sudden a massive rain of needle shots were heard heading towards them. Realizing that they walked into a giant group of infantry Dillon abandoned orders to focus on getting to the defenses as they were not in range and it sounded like they were outnumbered by a good margin. Dillon ordered the authorization of the red fluid to be used and his troops began attacking the cactus Pikmin.
Having taken a moment to have a decent idea of the layout of the cacti before Dillon orders mass firing on locations he remembered they were at.
Cacti Pikmin were firing before falling back. A couple of them were caught by the focused ray attacks of Dillon's forces turning into stone instantly. Abel ordered his Flak guns for focus on anti infantry duties thinking that his AA Missile Battery could handle potential aircraft. He had the radar help his Flak guns to be trained on the Fog at Legs. He ordered his other troops to stand down until the poison was taken care of.
Dillon hears multiple sounds of Petrification happening and as they advance they walk over some Cacti Pikmin many of them weighed down by their Pikminite Armor. He counted 61 down, some of them just not being able to out run the poison. They weren't too far from the defenses now, it shouldn't be -
FWO FWO FWO FWO FWOMM
The sound of one of the defenses going off was heard before multiple explosions of shrapnel was heard within the fog. Although the Fog at Legs were still tanking the shots although starting to slow down from all the attacks they received the Chaosmin were taking much more casualties from all the shrapnel flying around along with the hundreds of needles heading in their direction. Chaosmin were rapidly dwindling from the sheer amount of metal sent their way. Abel ordered his troops to fire where they saw the lasers were coming from as soon as they were shot to increase the chances of hitting them. Dillon himself already took a few shots only saved by twisting his body so that untouched parts of his armor were hit. Suddenly one of the Fog at Legs goes down from all the firing revealing five White Chaosmin that were immediately shot up. Dillon saw they didn't even get in range of the other defenses and called a retreat before a Flak Gun shot exploded in front of him dealing severe damage and knocking him out.
Another Fog at Legs fell as the amount of fog to hide is was reduced. One of the remaining Fog at Legs decided to make a suicide run to buy the remaining seven Chaosmin(Including Dillon) and the other three FoLs to retreat. They fell back as the heroic Fog at Legs charged with all of it's speed to cover as many of the Cacti Pikmin with poison as possible. It poisoned 6 more slow Cacti Pikmin before finally falling to the onslaught of ammo in it's direction. Dillon's group retreated as the Titanium at Legs went in front of them tanking the shots as if they were nothing leading the next group into battle while Clapton's forces worked on healing the barely surviving Chaosmin.

Part 2
Sparky was furious at the defenses for obliterating Dillon's group throughout the fog. They didn't even send any vehicles to take out yet! He was glad that they were right behind them as the Titanium at Legs immediately blocked the incoming fire towards Dillon's group. If they had attacked from a different position Dillon's group might have been completely wiped out. As it was the Titanium at Legs was shrugging off everything being thrown at them.
Suddenly a stray Flak shot detonated near the nearest group of Purple Pikmin holding bomb rocks. The resulting chain blast took out a Titanium at Legs and four Purple Chaosmin. Sparky immediately ordered the Purple Pikmin to the rear as well as spreading out fearing for more potential explosions. The Rocket at Legs were firing their payload in the general direction of Abel's base hoping to strike a hit. A good shot rendered half of the Flak Gun's unusable reducing the amount of shrapnel it produced. Stray shots also blew up 16 more Cacti Pikmin.
Rick's donuts joined the fray rolling onto the battle field. Their speed allowed them to dodge most of the shots weaving through the battlefield. Some of them decided to eat the Cacti Pikmin to buy time for others to make it to the defenses. Unfortunately the Mousse Pikmin were only able to lure 50 Dwarf Desert Pikmin out of hiding and to their deaths until getting shot themselves by all the defenses being the easiest targets. 43 Donuts were lost in the defenses - from shrapnel to needles to tunnels, while 33 more traded their lives with Cacti Pikmin. 15 made their way to the coolant tower chewing it away to ineffectiveness as they couldn't get to the Flare Cannon. They rest were hounded by the flare cannons as they made their way to the Flak guns chewing away at it. Once it was apparent that the Guns would no longer operate the base defense fired at it obliterating the donut squad.
Meanwhile the Titanium at Legs advanced joined with the Bone Mechs easily running and gunning down Cacti Pikmin in their wake. 19 more fell from their onslaught. As the Titanium at Legs kept on moving onto the base one of their legs fell down pressing into a tunnel. Quickly the ground under them became unstable as multiple Meerslugs dug at the ground around them sinking the Titanium at Legs as well as the Bone Mechs. The Belgium Waffle A Tron backed off not wanting to fall into a pit at it's high speed. While three of Titanium at Legs were able to get out of their holes the other Titanium at legs and bone mechs were sunk further by the Meerslugs before getting swarmed by a ton of Dwarf Dessert Bulborbs and Dwarf Lacerita. 23 Dwarf Bulborbs and 11 Dwarf Lacerita were lost while bringing the relatively immobile giants down. The Titanium at Legs held their position and kept on firing at Abel's Infantry supporting Clapton's as they made their way.
Suddenly the speedy Snargret dug up from under one of the Rocket at Legs spearing it through destroying it before digging back in. At the same time Sparky heard an explosion behind him as he saw Desert troops popping out from under the ground taking out the Purple Pikmin behind him. Sparky jumped back as the Snagret effortlessly took out another Rocket At Legs with it's speed and Titanium beak. Clapton's basic units joined the fray dealing heavy losses to the Dwarf Lacrita and Dwarf Desert Bulborbs due to their superior hand to hand combat boosted by the nectar village's shots. Sparky was forced to retreat and distract the Snagret as it destroyed another Rocket at Legs and was now barely missing Sparky. Another chain of explosions happened behind Sparky as Abel's troops suicide attacked into the Purple Chaosmin with Clapton's units nearby. The last Purple Chaosmin threw the last bomb rock at the Snagret before being taken down. The Snagret's speed however allowed it to dodge the worst of the attack and the armor held firm before it sped off away taking slight damage. Sparky takes note that a ton of bodies laid spewed out from all the explosions. A decent amount of them were saved by the Banana although some Beetles were lost as Abel's troops choose death over capture while others were lost by the Meerslugs hiding and waiting in the sand.
The Titanium at Legs were pinned down as they scrambled to not get sunk by the Meerslugs that came back from the purple Pikmin. Stomping around they squished 14 more Dwarf Meerslugs and one lesser Meerslug until they fell into pits created by the Snagret. 3 Rolling Calcified Crushblats acting out of order and wanting in on the action rolled out at a break neck pace knowing the right paths to take. They slammed into the immobile Titanium at Legs distracted by the Snagret destroying the last of them.
The Belgian Waffle A Tron took notice of their paths before taking the path quickly itself before quickly charging the Flare Cannon. The AA Missile Battery decided that it was hopeless to wait for aircraft now and began to target the Waffle A Tron. The Waffle A Tron endured the Flare Cannon's shots and spewed juice into the Cannon ruining it. The WAT took a direct hit by the AA Guns, with the damage it took already from the flare cannon as well as left over defenses it ran away to prevent it's destruction. The defenses of the base almost completely breached besides the AA guns needing longer to reload from a parting shot from the WAT Captain Chaos and Clapton take a moment to assess their current losses while wondering when the Turtle and Bombers will come into play.

Part 3
" Alright! Their defenses are down it's time to char-" an explosion happened in the background as a missile from the the AA Missile Battery found a Chaos at Legs to Target"-ge!" Finished Captain Chaos.
As the Chaotic Alliance charged they found a few more impromptu traps along the way. Lighter troops from Clapton were scouting out paths for the leg units to utilize when they started to fall in shallower pits. These pit though they did not climb out of as at the bottom of these pits were dead Cacti Pikmin their needles as deadly as they were in life in death as well. These traps while not killing the Breadbugs heavily reduced their speed making them relatively immobile walls. Abel's remaining troops outside were digging tunnels or distracting if they couldn't make tunnels. Two more Chaos at Legs were grounded before being pelted by dead Cacti Pikmin being thrown like frisbees. Two other Chaorbs also faced the same fate.
A group of 10 Dwarf Chaosorbs and two Chaosorbs decided to take the fight underground. They went into the tunnels drilling away at the Meerslugs digging ahead of their leg units. After taking out 11 Dwarf Meerslugs and another Lesser Meerslug they heard the sounds of rolling. Before they could react to escape a Calcified Rolling Crushblat well... Crushed them. This Crushblat shot out of a hole unexpectantly rolling into two more Snow Chaorbs before being frozen down. One of the Cookie Pikmin having fallen on it's back to dodge the Crushblat yelled," The caves are not safe! The caves are totally not safe!". With the distraction of the Crushblat the Death Scornets burst end out of more tunnels from the ground. Seeing the unarmored Sherbet Bulborbs the Death Scornets rushed to kill them. Although there was a literal hailstorm against them they were able to wipe out the Sherbet Bulborbs as well as a Snow Chaorb as well.
While this was going on the AA Battery was able to take down two more Chaos At Legs before they got into range to riddle it with bullets. Before they could celebrate a Crushblat used the wreckage as a ramp to smash into the center of a Chaos at Legs instantly killing it. It rolled taking out one more Chaorb before dying to the other Chaos at Legs. As a last ditch effort the remaining Dwarf Desert units rushed the Chaorbs. Adding to the panic the Snagret finally showed up again eating a few dessert infantry. It took some more fire but went underground before anything serious happened. With the distraction the number of Chaorbs dwindled to two before the onslaught of Abel's troops stopped. After a few more deaths from pit traps the alliance finally made it through no man's land and into the base proper.
The fourth Chaos squad accompanied by Clapton, Lawrence and Éclair Pikmin and the fifth Chaos Squad prepared to cross the battlefield when suddenly they heard a rumble of troops heading their way. A stream of armored Lacerita and Cacti Pikmin came into view. A speedy and heavily armored Lacerita once again burst from the sand clamping down on a Chaos at Legs killing it. Abel quickly tail swiped another CaL before tearing into it as well. The alliance troops opened fire but Abel dashed back to his troops any shots bouncing off his armor. The Lacerita along with Abel charged into the third Chaos group sending them in disarray. Banana beetles were frantically pulling away the wounded as Abel and his troops tore into the group not suspecting that he would throw almost all of their remaining force instead of waiting in the base. The fourth and fifth Chaos groups quickly made their way across the pit ridden wasteland to save what's left of Clapton's forces and Robo Bob...
( Looking at the losses I didn't realize how badly Abel was outnumbered. Next part has even more death.)

Part 4
Abel's forces locally outnumbered Clapton's infantry forces pulling all of the defenders from the base for an all out attack. A few of the ones closer to the base met with Creeping Lotuses that were originally planned to be used when they entered the base. The last Chaos at legs that wasn't Robo Bob was destroyed along with the rest of Clapton's infantry in the ensuring rush of Abel's elite forces.
The Chaos forces rushed across the battlefield some of thier infantry being picked off by the Snagret. The trap pits left were minimal as most of what hadn't triggered from troops fell apart from all the missed shots going on. Robo Bob shot down his third Lacerita before he finally made it to the charging Chaotic forces. He fell back to the healing line after tanking so many shots.
A few Creeping Lotuses were using the tunnels to get closer to the battlefield. Unfortunately for them the Chaos Driller was already halfway in the ground drilling a giant trench as it kept moving on. Captain Chaos was about to activate the magnetic part of his drill to drag the armored Lacerita to him before seeing a Chaorb taking a hit from a thrown dead Cacti Pikmin before chomping down on a Lacerita before it was torn apart by another one. Realizing that turning it on was just begging for a rain of flying corpse armor to impale the troops between him and the bodies Chaos sticks with just drilling large units.
The Creeping Lotuses that weren't in the path of the Driller were only having mild success against the Chaos forces. They were only able to get a few infantry units in their haste to follow Abel before getting blown apart by larger Chaotic forces if not frozen by Clapton's troops. Abel himself and some Laceritas were utilizing the tunnels to attack the Flame At Legs from below. While Abel's raid with six of his Lacerita was able to destroy that group only Abel with his speed enhancing armor was able to escape the barrage of ice and fire from the elemental Chaorbs.
The Cacti Pikmin and Chaosmin were trading evenly in their battles. Both sides were using the pits as cover as they advanced to each other. At least until Clapton's Eclair Pikmin came into the mix. Their small size and fast rolling allowed them to swarm the Cacti Pikmin and drown them. This was countered by another Rolling Crushblat emerging from a tunnel out rolling and crushing many of them in return. A group of Chaosmins fired their Petrification rays at it only to still be crushed by the rolling stone as it took out a Lacerita and Chaobear dueling. More of the Eclair Pikmin were lost when they went deeper into enemy lines and were eaten by entrenched Creeping Lotuses as they stuck to their thorny bodies. These Creeping Lotuses were then in turn killed by the Chaos Digger.
The last of the Chaobear went down as the Snagret finally let out a cry of pain making many nearby flinch followed by more of the gunned down as the Snarget broke the armor cutting into it into two and hurled it into the fifth Chaos group killing an Orange Chaorb before digging back into the earth. A Rolling Crushblat slammed into the side of the drill of the Chaos Digger as it was drilling a weakened Lacerita breaking the tip of it from the stress already put on it. The Digger was already being slowed down from multiple attacks by Lacerita targeting it's movement mechanisms before being destroyed by the elemental Chaorbs. The Snagret drilled through the bottom finally disabling the Digger before leaving it's bent Titanium Beak behind in a tunnel as it retreated.
Moogle's group went into Abel's base heading to the storage depot as directed. A few Dwarf Chaorbs were lost by the remaining Creeping Lotuses in hiding before again dying to larger units or getting zapped by Dwarf Orange Chaorbs. They encountered little resistance as got in front of the resource depot. They began the process of breaking in.
As they got in the entrance a group of Dwarf Orange Bulborbs were riddled by needles causing the group to back pedal away. As they did this the group was rolled into by another Crushblat who took out a few more Dwarf Bulborbs before being stopped by the shocks. Not knowing how many there was Moogle sent in the Orange Chaorbs to tank shots and fry their foes. They were surprised however as some of their electrical attacks were redirected towards the copper in between their forces. Realizing they were at a disadvantage Moogle ordered the collection of nearby resources as Lacerita showed up to attack their forward forces. Most of the Lacerita were fried due to their armor still conducting electricity. The Cacti Pikmin used the Copper as a barrier against their attacks. The bodies of the dead were used to shield against the Cacti attacks as Moogle looted what they could safely with their forces. As a parting shot Moogle rolled the dead Crushblat into the Cacti Pikmin scoring a few more kills as they escaped.
"ABEEEEEEEELLLLLLL!" , Yelled Captain Chaos as he climbed out of the immobilized Chaos Digger as the remaining Lacerita swarmed around trying to stop the Elemental Chaorbs from getting to their leader. Clapton and Laurence as well as some guard Eclair Pikmin emerged as well on top of the digger. Those Pikmin were suddenly crushed as Abel slammed them into the digger as he got close and in the commander's faces before replying with a smile, "Yes?"
" Your plans of conquest ends here! You will never take our lands! We fought hard to keep where we live safe! You seek to destroy what fragile peace we had left! You tried to manipulate us into killing each other insulting our trust we had in each other! Today you will fall!", Captain Chaos said as he began to materialize a creature. Abel's speed though allowed him to smack Chaos away before he could finish and he just barely dodged Clapton's punch as he intervened to save his friend.
" Oh no you won't! Eat chocolate you oversized lizard!", Clapton yelled as he jumped as Abel did a speed tail swipe and punched downwards getting a solid hit on the armored tail. Abel yelped a bit in surprise at the amount of force packed by the cookie punch. Abel faked for a bite as Clapton whiffed an uppercut getting a tail whip for his trouble. The resistance shot he received however held strong as Clapton held his ground before punching the tail again. Clapton was sent flying by a headbutt in response landing on the far end of the digger.
Captain Chaos slowly stood up to used to taking hits of that caliber. Watching Abel's speed he tried to think of what could match it. He focused all his energy into his thoughts manipulating the area around him to make the creature that would stop Abel once and for all.
Clapton stood back up panting from all the hits he was taking. " Note to self, get stuff for myself after this battle. This armor is ridiculous.". Clapton looked at his right hand smashed from the force he put into hitting Abel's armored tail. Realizing that it was relatively useless he switched to his left as Abel closed the distance. Abel was about to pounce on Captain Chaos before Clapton in an adrenaline rush ran forwards and used all his energy in one large jump doing a jumping uppercut launching Abel back as his left hand was mashed from the force. Clapton backed off as Captain Chaos finally finished his creation, a miniature Man at Pegs.
Although it was much smaller than the one he fought it still seemed to pack quite a punch as it's rounds penetrated the Digger as Abel dodged it. Abel tried to go for Captain Chaos in hopes of stopping him directly only to be sent flying back from an explosion from the Man at Pegs - something Captain Chaos added. Abel and the man at Pegs dashed all around the Digger Abel not being able to get close enough due to the speed of the Man at Pegs. His armor withstood another explosion as he mis-predicted where it was going to aim at. In desperation Abel rushed at the Man At Pegs feeling his armor being torn off by it's attacks. This gave him enough time to catch up to it and whip his tail at it's legs grounding it. Abel tore though the body of the miniature Man at Pegs before hurling at Captain Chaos sending him flying off the Digger. Clapton joined him as he was knocked off by the bodies of his Eclair Pikmin being whipped by Abel.
Captain Chaos was unconscious while Clapton barely held onto his. As Abel looked over the edge he saw that all the troops that went with him were completely obliterated. A group of Chaosmin, dessert Pikmin and Elemenal Chaorbs stood between him and the commanders. Abel retreated as they opened fire on him while they got their commanders to safety. They considered going after them when an injured Rolling Crushblat made one final attempt to take out the commanders. A Fire Chaorb gave his life becoming a meat shield stoping hit from completing it's mission. In a panic and not knowing just how many units there were left Laurence called for a retreat.
Abel watched as Moogle's group made off with his resources and was unable to approach due to their electricity. He looked at the devastated field and the bodies of all his people. The remaining Cacti Pikmin as well as a few larger units that survived but were in pain gathered around him as they watched the Chaotic forces fall back. He solemnly looked on at everything lost for a moment wondering if he ever had a chance to save his homeland. He immediately quashed those ideas as he ordered his bombers to finally attack as the sun set off in the distance.
The Chaotic forces marched on in silence. They won in the sense that they killed off most of the opposing army but their leaders were wounded when they tried to take out the armored Abel by themselves. They made off with a decent amount of loot as well as recovering a decent amount of Petrification rays. They lost the Digger as well as the Bone Mechs however. Their march was interrupted by the sounds of bombers in the distance. The troops began running towards the the safety of Captain Chaos's base. The MEGA Fire Chaorb as well as the Raging at Legs fired a hailstorm of accurate bullets at the bombers. The bombers took out a few more armored large units before getting shot down by the elites becoming the last of the fallen. Finally the battle was over.

I think you underestimated how many guys there are outside of the base. They were in no man's land to do the luring, pretty much no chance to retrieving anyone there as stray shots everywhere would kill anyone taken down there. They were just plain outnumbered when doing the plan and they would have killed a lot less without the defense boost. The donuts are the only thing fast enough to negate the shot leading research, everything else was eating a decent amount of shots.

It makes a big difference if they are in a position to be dragged out like the purple Pikmin platoon where it was relatively safe after taking out the foes. Saved a ton of lives and it's definitely saving more on the base entry.

Also, would you guys be fine if I picked up the armor/weapons that weren't damaged? I can understand if some of the were destroyed in a missile explosion, or something similar, but the petrified and poisoned units haven't actually taken any direct damage to their armor...
