Orange Pikmin: A species of Pikmin that are colored orange. They can create and control small flames, but are not resistant or susceptible to any specific attacks.
Light Blue Pikmin: A species of Pikmin that are colored light blue. They are able to control small amounts of water and freeze it, but are not resistant or susceptible to any specific attacks.
Black Pikmin: A species of Pikmin that are colored black. They are able to create and control small jolts of electricity, but are not resistant or susceptible to any specific attacks.
Gray Pikmin: A species of Pikmin very similar to White Pikmin. While they are not as fast, they are able to expel toxic gases from their mouths that poison opponents. They can only create small puffs at a time though.
Tree Pikmin: A species of light green Pikmin, not named tree because they look like trees, but for their large size. These big Pikmin are powerful and can perform things that require multiple smaller Pikmin, but their large size make them big targets. Plus they are somewhat slow.

Brown Pikmin: A species of Pikmin colored brown. These Pikmin have large claws on their hands. While they aren't very strong in attacking or defending, they have blindingly fast speed. These Pikmin are also able to dig underground.
Cloud Pikmin: These Pikmin aren't actual clouds. They are white Pikmin capable of floating around in the air due to their light weight. While not very useful in direct combat with opponents, their ability to control wind currents is very helpful in air combat and their abilities have many uses when building things.

Liquid Metal Pikmin: This happened when someone decided to put metal inside of the Onion. They are called Liquid Metal Pikmin because they're bodies are made purely of metal that can shift forms. These Pikmin take on the properties of the metal or metals used in making them and are able to copy one unit the opponent has. While still looking like a liquid with their ability to melt down into a puddle, it's confirmed that they are in fact still solid metal in this state. They normally take the form of a typical Red Pikmin when not copying anything. It's still a mystery how they are able to fly when copying flying units with their very heavy weight.
