youtu.be/ciL7OKWSu10A full moon rises over the Perplexing Pool. In that clear-aired swamp, the light is bright enough to see clearly by. And a good thing too, for those who gather in its midst. The Brotherhood is preparing. On this sacred night, they will strike the first blow of this war. Klendall Kyre, their leader, has finished outlying the plan of attack. "So...hehe, hehehahaHAHAHHAH-*ahem* are we clear?" Nearly two-hundred voices, only most of which come from the throats of Pikmin, cry out a resounding "yes!" "Then come, my brothers! May the moon guide us!" Those who were selected for this mission fall into step behind Kyre, and they march towards that darkness, the Forest Navel. ----- Meanwhile, in the base of operations of Mann Co., the mercenaries are on guard duty. "Hey, I got a bucket-a chicken. Let's do this!" Says one White Pikmin to another. The second, slightly more duty-minded, slaps the bucket away with a dismissive, "Uh, no." "Hey-what the!" replies the first, and he shoves the second. "Oh you think you're a real tough guy, tough guy?" The second asks, and he shoves the first back, leading to a general brawl between the two of them. Just as it is getting heated, a Yellow Pikmin, calmer and more refined, approaches. "Gentlemen?" He interjects, puffing a cigarette. Both of the Scouts look up at him. "Back to work!" He shouts, and the Scouts reluctantly let go of each other, pick up their weapons, and get back to patrol. It is not much later that one turns to the other and says, "Hey wimp." "Yeah?" "You feel dat?" "Like I'm being watched or something?" "Yeah, that." "Yeah, I did." They suddenly turn back to back. One calls out, "All right Houdini, where ya hiding?" But whatever presence they felt has gone. ----- "Their patrols are too many for us- we cannot remove them without alerting the others." The Vile Shade reports. "Very well." Mutters Kyre. "We shall go with plan B. Direct attack! PRAISE-" he claps his hand over his mouth. "Praise the moon!" The troops attack, their enormous vehicle right behind them. Those who have them raise their cruel-bladed swords in the air as they attack.

youtu.be/YPCCDj6zSp4 (yes I only chose this because of the laugh. Deal with it.) Shock and awe. If there is one thing that an army created from a fanatical cult excels at, it is causing pandemonium. The first thing to enter is the Assault Platform, which rushes through the entrance too quickly for even the nearly suicidal Red and Rock mercenaries guarding the entrance to stand in its way. And right behind it are the cultists, waving around their cruel blades, shouting, and generally causing chaos. The hardhat-wearing Yellows that were here retreat with a collective "Nope!", remaining out of the engagement, although they are replaced by more than twice their number in Scattergun-wielding Whites and Pistol-toting Yellows. Both sides sustain casualties, but the cultists seem to be outgunned, sans the Platform's machine guns. Still, their sheer fanatical devotion to their cause gets a few of them into melee range. The vehicle, firing upon any who draw near, moves towards the resource storage. Here stands the Mann Co. elite guard, seven Purple Pikmin wielding miniguns, seven Blue Pikmin with Shotguns, and an enormous creature apparently made entirely of tumor-filled bread, wielding nothing but its green tentacles. The vehicle arrives before anyone else, and is fired upon relentlessly by the Pikmin. The next to arrive are the Yellows, having fled the skirmish before they could get tied down. They immediately set about building Sentries. The Soldiers and Heavies are forced to fall back or be run over, and so the Assault Platform gains access to the Mann Co. resource storage. 90 of the brothers emerge and begin throwing in whatever they can. Meanwhile, the battle outside rages on. The cultists, and the vehicle-mounted machine guns, keep the Mercs from running up to the vehicle, but it is still fired upon relentlessly. And then there is the Giant Bread Monster, which tosses aside members of the Brotherhood with near impunity. Otha sides take losses, but eventually, after one final blast from Twilight Bloom, Klendall orders a general retreat. The cultists take some measure of losses as they run, but eventually they fade into the night. Gains and losses will be up soon.

Once guard patrols have been scouted, the lunites will ambush and overrun guard patrols if their are any and if they are small. Quickly and silently. The platform will rush to the resources storage, The side where troops get out will get up against the entrance, blocking anyone else from getting in. 50 shadow brothers and the lunites will begin grabbing what they can and loading it onto the transport, The transport will defend itself from boarding parties with the machine guns. Everyone else will keep intruders from getting in the transport, or inside the door. The retreat will be called when we get to the point where we can no longer hold them off with reasonable amount of effort.

(iPad crashed just as I was finishing up. >_< )
Short version because I'm mad now.
Ultra lost: -180 Petal's worth of blood's choice (Petals, Resources, unused weapons. The store still isn't up, so go by gathering projects- 180 Petals is 18 day's gathering.) -30 Demo-min -30 Pyro Pikmin (40 assorted Scouts, Spies, Soldiers, Heavies, counting Specials as 10.) -about 8 days' worth of damage to the Bread Monster (I sort of have to count Elites as vehicles for this, even though they aren't.) -none of the weapons that were in use.
Blood gained: -180 Petals' worth of his choice from the log above.
Blood lost: -100 assorted troops. Would be a lot higher, except you also lost... -a lot of health on the Assault Platform. I don't know exactly how you made it, but it was being fired upon basically for the entire duration of the fight. Let's call it half of whatever you spent to make it is what is needed for repairs, in terms of Petals, days, and material.

In case you're wondering, the thing that made me change everything was that I realized the Assault Platform was not a tank. Before, I thought it was sort of trundling along like an unstoppable steel glacier, but Mann Co. had way too much firepower to make that viable- I didn't think blood would even make it to the resource storage at all. Then I realized it could go like 30 mph, and I realized he could zip in, grab stuff, and zip right out without too much trouble. Problem is, I realized that about halfway through my writing.

It was mostly meant to be an armored and armed transport, probably my fault for not describing it well enough, but half sounds fair.
So a 180 petals then... Kind of hard to decide the worth really with that kind of stuff.
very well written... I liked this battle and Kiendall's character was perfect. I won't actually remove any troops in my next log, but will just subtract it from what I would have added.

Exactly, it was meant to be a moderately defensible and fast from of transporting troops around, not meant to have super high attack power and unstoppable defense...

really my losses were not that bad. really the biggest loss was (possibly) all of my petals but those are expendable as i get plenty from every 4 days and if people ever want to buy my weapons(hint hint). i dont care about losing weapons since my thing is mass producing weapons anyway.
i guess the lost troops and elite damage is bad too but that is not much of a problem as i can always get another bread monster. and i have stronger elites down the line.
GG. Good battle. nicely written
