Here's a quick example:
Malefio chose Pickaxe and Heavy armor
DS chose Staff and Reflect armor
Malefio randomly got Titanium-at-legs
DS randomly got Long Tongued Swoopin Snitchbug
They are both specials, so they don't get the weapon, only the armor.
Titanium-at-legs is OP, but his method of attacking are projectiles made of Titanium. The Long Tongued Swoopin Snitchbug armor reflects projectiles, sot TAL will kill itself. (Real battle will be more fleshed out of course)
Is it clearer with this example?

wait... if it's 1v1 how could a normal beat an elite? or a special for that matter. Ordinary get a weapon AND armor. Special gets only an armor. Elite gets nothing. This way, everything is balanced, because the weapons will give the ordinaries a big advantage. |

I guess the only actual way to see this play out is if we go a few days with it implemented...
I don't understand it fully, but after a few days I think I will start to get the hang of it.

Not really complicated...
You only needs two thing:
1.Buy weapons and armors.
2.Choose what weapon and armor you want to use each day, before I write the battles.

No, the weapons you buy are permanently owned, but only usable in the troops duels.
If you want new ones and more choice though, you have to buy them!
