Another basic mercenary unit idea. Also need opinions on how should they be sold and prices. Set all my resources to building the Outpost and will have it up by tomorrow.
Cyborgmin A group of Pikmin taking it upon themselves to experiment with machinery and implant themselves with cybernetic enhancements. They have better sight, strength and speed compared to most other Pikmin. However they have crippling weaknesses to all elemental damage and almost all armor they tried interferes with their robotics somewhat leading them to refuse using any armor at all.

Tentative price ideas and bundle. A rotation of three basic and three Special Units available for every 4 days or so? Need more opinion on prices though that's for sure.
Mercenary Units
Basic
Dwarf Lesser Meerslug Small Meerslugs who are great at digging and hiding for creatures to come near them. Their teeth aren't sharp so they rely on swallowing their prey whole. This heavily limits their attack speed as they have to wait for what they eat to stop struggling before they can move freely again. Has a tough natural hide.
10 Units for 15 Petals
Winged Dwarf Bulborbs The name is a misnomer which is not helped by the members of the species that insist that they can fly. They can't. They do however have powerful legs to jump high and their wings let them glide down giving the appearance of flying, at least to those fleeing from them. While great in surprise attacks due to their speed they also have even less durability than their wingless counterparts while also retaining their size making them extremely easy to take out from range.
10 Units for 15 Petals
Cyborgmin A group of Pikmin taking it upon themselves to experiment with machinery and implant themselves with cybernetic enhancements. They have better sight, strength and endurance compared to most other Pikmin. However they have crippling weaknesses to all elemental damage and almost all armor they tried interferes with their robotics somewhat leading them to refuse using any armor at all.
10 for 20 Petals
Special
Mamuta Chuckers Slower Mamutas that prefer to chuck objects as opposed to planting them. They still have a mental block on hurting Pikmin - they'll just slam them into the ground to replant them or chuck them to places where they can be planted if on ground where planting isn't possible.
1 For 15
Lesser Meerslug Medium sized Meerslug which are good at digging and hiding for long periods of time. Unlike their Dwarf counterparts they have developed teeth and can bite into foes if needed. While their stomachs are larger they can still be filled up with what they eat and need to take a rest if they eat too much. Even tougher hide than their Dwarf counter parts.
1 For 15 petals
Shell Head Bulborb A Bulborb with a shell protecting it's head. They attack by ramming their heads into thief foes trying to smash them as they have under developed teeth. They have a thinner shell protecting their back though they aren't armored underneath.
1 For 15 petals
Stampeding Bulborb A Bulborb that is larger than normal and fully red with the exception of it's eyes. It's feet are also large in proportion to the rest of the body. Needless to say it attacks by running extremely fast and stomping on units. It's bite attacks are exceptionally slow however and it has thinner skin than other Bulborb Species.
1 For 15 petals

So assuming pik gates gets out of his fight alive, and brings back the order to work for good, I wanna add night blades to my roster. They wouldn't fight in pvp because I will not ever attack anyone while playing pik gates, but they would let me do pve.
Night blade Class:special Appearance: a gray pikmin who wears a black cloak Description: these assassins have trained for decades under the elusive master Crimson. They are experts in the art of stealth and killing. Battle role: these units move in the shadows until they are ready to strike. They are lethal to any ordinary class troop, and can potentially cripple any special or higher class troop if caught unaware. These assassins are deadly alone, but in a pack they are even more so. Abilities: these assassins are professionals at their trade, dealing massive amounts of damage and then disappearing into the shadows. The downside is they have made a vow to only use their powers for good, and refuse to attack another commander or their troops.

They look like specials, but other than that, they are fine.

So this is really an approval for a Special Arena Event for valentines day....
I'll explain the rules first.
There is a massive gladiator who is would renowned for her ability to fight. She is so good, in fact, that she is willing to take on multiple opponents at once! She is so strong, in fact, that her name has been changed to Heart Breaker. If she is bested in the arena, she will give the victor 10 CAPs for defeating her. If a group of individuals defeats her, the CAPs will be split evenly among those who fought her. (If the number is something off, like 6 people fought her so each person should get 1.66, we will round it up so no one is left out.) She will only be here for 3 days, so act quickly to take a chance on besting this crazy woman!
Heart Breaker Prestige: 20 Type: War-Bound Siren Appearance: A large creature who is a pale red color. She has a womanlike figure, and has glowing yellow eyes. Description: This Siren has bested champions the world over. She has taken to her fame, by wielding a massive bow that she has named "heart Seeker" and using armor that she calls "The Arms of a Lover". She fights from afar, but when the distance is closed, her bow can double as a battle staff. Abilities: Siren's call: In the middle of the battle... (well... it will be a surprise) Weaknesses: She is unable to handle.... ( Another surprise.)
Reward for besting this champion of the arena +10 CAPS distributed equally to all who participate in the battle that she is bested in. +100 Petals distributed equally to all who participate in the battle that she is bested in. +2 prestige for every member who is present in the final battle.
Challenge process: a RNG will be used to figure out who the first challenger is. That challenger can either attempt to go it alone, or invite any number of individuals to participate in the fight with them. If she is not bested, another RNG number will be rolled, not counting those who participated in the previous fight. Any damage that Heart Breaker receives will be carried over to the next fight. It will take a lot to bring her down.
Well what do you think? Pretty cool Valentines Arena Special huh?

So, I have a few ideas for the petrification ray gun, but I need help choosing...
Option 1: A laser that permanently petrifies enemies. The laser must touch the enemy for a certain time to petrify him, the bigger the foe, the longer it takes.
Option 2: Shoots a laser ball that transforms into a really hard rock after a certain distance.
Option 3: Shoots a small laser ball. Petrifies only the body part it touches.

I like the Arena event, though I think the chosen individual should have either the option of going alone or allowing others to join without invitation.
Leaning to options that aren't 2 on the Petrification gun
Also more Merc Ideas.
Basic
Clawed Wing Pikmin Winged Pikmin who's hands have grown to be claws instead. Their wings are also larger which while making them faster requires them to need more flexibility from their body to use them making normal armor impractical for them. Their claw hands also prevent them from using most weapons as well. Great for picking off unarmored units/ other flying creatures, not as good against fully armored targets.
10 for 15 Petals
Dwarf Posburbs ( Help on name?) A grey Dwarf Bulborb that can take a lot of punishment. Initially they are are slow until they take some damage until they enter a comatose state for a minute. During this time their skin hardens to held defend the Posburbs from further attacks. When they wake back up they are filled with adrenaline and are much faster than normal Bulborbs. Useful for prolonged fights where enemies could get pinned down as they return from playing dead or buying time as foes try to kill them in their comatose state, less useful if they get eaten before waking up.
10 for 20 Petals

Also, non of us have 20 prestige, even combined, so I'm not sure who will be able to take her own, though it sounds fun.

That just means she has already won 20 battles. I want to fight her.

Yeah, but prestige directly effects performance in the arena. A gladiator with 2 prestige does better than one with only 1 prestige.

yeah, but unlike your gladiators she retains her injuries. so theoretically if 2 prestige fought her, she would then be equivalent to about 18 prestige.
