PART ONE: Pik Gates's plot to kill Shade
=====
Pik Gates, AKA Crimson, was marching with conviction up to the base of the Night Blades. He didn't like the things Shade had done to the administration, and had decided to deal with it himself.
Quite a while back, Gates had founded the Night Blades, mostly to help bring about world peace. He later discovered that Financial and passive leading were the best ways to do so. It seemed Shade had taken control since then. Of course, Gates hadn't put Shade in charge. No, Shade was far to selfish to use the Night Blades like it had been intended to be used for. He would use the Night Blades had to accomplish his own worldly ends.
Pik Gates had finally reached the Night Blades HQ. He thrust the main entrance open and barraged in. He walked a few feet down the opening corridor when an assassin suddenly jumped up in front of him. Gates quickly readied his hidden cane blade, but, as it turns out, there is no need for it. The assassin simply rubs his eyes in disbelief, as if he is trying to clear them of something. "Crimson, is that really you? I thought you would never come back!"
Gates slams his former Colleague against the wall without hesitation. He holds the pikmin up by his neck and growls. "I don't have time for anything sentimental. Where is Shade?"
The unnamed assassin responds as quickly as he can, his shaky voice revealing his fear. "H-He's in th-the meeting room! He's calling for groups to be sent out to assassinate some crustacean and a lizard."
Gates drops the Pikmin, who is now dripping with sweat, onto the floor just as fast as he had picked him up. He begins to march to the meeting room.
=====
As soon as Gates reaches the meeting room he swings open the door, slamming it on the nearby wall. He yells for Shade, and all 11 pikmin in the meeting room stand up simultaneously. Suddenly, Gates realizes that he would rather not kill these pikmin unless he had to.
All the assassins, with the exception of Shade, are newer individuals. They all laugh, except for Shade, who says something. "Welcome back Crimson." He begins to laugh.
The moment Gates looks at Shade, rage rushes through him. He charges at Shade. The others stop laughing and pull out their weapons to protect their leader. They had thought Gates was nothing more than a weak old man, but they had been wrong. The closest pikmin steps in Gates way, ready lash out with a knife. Gates hits him with the cane, then proceeds to pick him up by his neck and throw him into the wall. The assassin slumps down, unconscious.
The next pikmin side steps Gates attacks easily, but Gates manages some fancy foot work, and knocks his attacker off his feet. Gates kicks him the head, leaving him unconscious as well.
He rushes through the other assassins, countering their every move, and defeating them with an ease that no other assassin could muster. He finally reaches Shade, leaving a pile of sleeping bodies behind him. Shade is extremely nervous and sweating.
"Look Crimson, I'm sorry! I can take it all back, I ca fix everything I've done!" Shade says, knowing he can't defeat Gates.
"Don't call me that!" Gates yells. "You can never take any of back. Or fix it! It has all been done! No one you have killed will ever come back!"
Shade pulls out his sword, and Gates drops his cane, pulling out is old sword he had used before he had left.
Gates thrusts the sword at Shade, but Shade parries and takes a grand swing at Gates. Gates slides under Shade's legs. Gates has an unintentional flash back of Shade killing Nectaron, and in a fit of rage, Gates stands up faster than lightning. He stabs the sword straight through Shade, killing him the same way Shade had killed Nectaron.
As Shade falls to the ground, and a river of blood flows slowly across the floor, Gates sighs, a tired, sad sigh. He is sad it had to be this way.
Gates walks out of the Night Blades HQ, and begins the long trek back home, almost forgetting about the groups sent to kill Zol and Abel.
