Battles against the Nectar army

Great writing.

Also, I wanted to get info on them so we could preform a larger scale attack later. I will join anybody who wants to do that.

A large scale attack...with Marth?

The Nectar Battles Part 2: Nectar or Nothin'

Clapton's troops were doing their typical rounds. The Cupcake Breadbugs were digging around and popping up out every once in a while while talking about the recent news from Lawrence. Speaking of which, they continue along casually as a huge blob is seen off in the distance.

"We're all gonna die!" One of the troops began running in circles as another Cupcake Breadbug slapped him across the face.

"Snap out of it! You are this close to losing your sprinkles! Now hurry up, we have to warn the others!" The two then dug off towards the base where the troops were anticipating the attack due to their dessert abilities.

The Breadbugs came in and told the others in a panic while a Spice Blowhog came in. "Hey. Chill out. We got this, bro." The Spice Blowhogs began creating a large wall of spice around the front of their base as the orange troops approach. They started to become confused while walking through the strange mist and started to act odd. The Nectar Pikmin weren't sure who was what. They began to fire at everything, including each other, but hitting each other only seemed to have no effect if not a healing effect!

Soon, large foot stomps could be heard. Three Bone Mechs began to march forwards at the army and started smashing away at the Nectar Pikmin while a group of Spice Blowhogs and Banana Beetles run off to the Banana Split Boat. The mechs continue smashing away at the helpless Nectar Pikmin as 10 are wiped out entirely! The boat fires off ice cream balls at the flying Honeywhisps that avoided the spice. A Honeywisp gets hit by one of the massive ice creams while the others do their best to dodge. One Honeywhisp drops an egg on the boat, taking out two Spice Blowhogs and a Banana Flint Beetle before getting hit by a boomerang. The battle is going well as the mechs smash apart 5 more Nectar Pikmin, but something is worrying Clapton as he commands from his base.

The castle has not appeared yet. He was ready too. Suddenly, a large ball of nectar slams directly into his base while Nectar splatters all over the place! Clapton turns to find the castle mech looming over from behind. Another ball of Nectar slams into the ground and Clapton's army begins taking damage. "Quick! Plan B everyone!" Clapton's Pikmin start to shift formation as a large hoard of his units begin to attack the mech and swarming it.

Nectaron begins to panic a bit. He uses the hands on the mech to smash the units, but the Breadbugs simply defend with their icing and discard it. With no other choice, Nectaron flees while his Nectar units chase after him. 3 more Nectar Pikmin are struck down by a bone while a Honeywhisp is blasted by an ice cream. The battle is over, but there were casualties on both sides.

The Last of Nectaron?

It was time for Nectaron's last battle. The armies marched on ahead towards the final battle while they stayed in their groups. The armies each hid among the trees while waiting for the signal to go. It was an uncomfortable quiet. Marth was not there yet, but they had to start soon before Nectaron grew suspicious. They all continued to watch and wait.

After a few more minutes, he still wasn't there. It's just taking too long. They had to start already! Zol's troops were the first group to head out. Nectaron was expecting an attack as the familiar blobs came out of the Nectar blob, forming into Pikmin and Honeywhisp shapes. The Scornets flew up high in the air, dodging the guns held by the Nectar Pikmin pretty well as they all started to swarm around one Honeywhisp, quickly taking it down as the Nectar from it splatters away, but a small group of ten Scornets are caught in an attack from five Nectar Pikmin. Ten others begin to retaliate, but as they try to sting the Nectar it only seems replaced by more by Nectar spraying from the cover of the dome. The Skitterleaves also begin blasting away at the Nectar Pikmin with their rifles, but only two or three are taken out while another group of ten Scornets are coated in Nectar. Things weren't going as easily as planned here.

It's then Abel's group charges in with blinding speed! The many Lacerita come in as two immediately charge in, snapping up two Nectar Pikmin in their mouths. Though they seemed to have found a way to easily kill the Nectar Pikmin, it suddenly backfired as a Lacerita exploded from the inside out as Nectar blasted out of him and the Pikmin he ate came running out back into battle. The same disturbing fate was had for the other Lacerita of the two. They then shifted plans to just attacking the Nectar Pikmin as eating them had clearly interesting results. As the battle rages on, the two groups take out two more Honeywhisps and ten Nectar Pikmin. It comes at the cost of another Lacerita and five Scornets though. Things start to look up as they fight on, but suddenly an explosion of Nectar wipes out ten Skitterleaves! The dome is starting to attack. Another blob takes down five Scornets and another Lacerita as the Nectar creatures push the forces back. Three more Nectar Pikmin are lost from Lacerita attacks as the groups are moved away from the dome.

While the battle continues, Clapton's troops slowly emerge from the battle, taking out troops in a stealthy fashion. Mousse Pikmin work together to attract a couple of Nectar Pikmin away before finally one is attacked as the others scatter away and panic. From the shadows, a Banana Boomerang flies out and slices right through two Honeywhisps as they fall defeated. The Lacerita start using tactics similar to the Mousse Pikmin as one lured a Nectar Pikmin and the other destroyed it, taking down two. Another Nectar bomb crashes into the ground as it splatters around to take the lives of five Banana Flint Beetles, five Watery Skitterleaves, ten Scornets, and two Lacerita. The groups start focusing on attacking together to wipe out almost half of the remaining troops, but things take a turn for the worse. The dome begins to move about. It changes into some kind of strange shape. It looks like...a giant hammer!

The units in hiding start to come charging out as large amounts of the armies pour out into the battle and start to attack the floating hammer. Though the hammer seems unimpressed. It lifts itself up high before slamming down on some units as a wave of Nectar flows out of it, drowning others. Another strike takes down more and the battle has suddenly gone downhill. "Unleash ze Burrowing Znagret!" With Abel's commands, a Burrowing Snagret comes up out of the ground and begins fighting the Nectar Wraith and doing some visible damage! The Nectar Wraith abandons the hammer form and then copies the Burrowing Snagret as the two exchange fast blows. With the long battle dragging on further, the two seem to be about to destroy each other as both Snagrets are exhausted. Something happens though. The Nectar Wraith melts down into a liquified puddle that quickly rolls over the Nectar army in waves, absorbing them into it and restoring its own wounds as the Nectar Wraith takes the form of something nobody would expect to have return. It became a Carnivorous.

This Nectar Carnivorous was different than a typical carnivorous. It was smaller, but instead of being covered in slobber and eating everything, it would just violently lash its vines about to kill units around it. The Snagret was unable to continue battling much more and instead ran away back to its home to avoid death. The others continued, but it looked hopeless. They remembered how the last carnivorous battle ended. "Think again, Nectar Wraith." It was Glacier! He and Marth had finally got here! "Sorry I wasn't here sooner. Nectaron had attacked us with his mech on our way here to stop us." The sixty savages with their huge shields and heavy axes soon slashed off a couple of arms, but they didn't grow back. Of course! Since it isn't a real Carnivorous, it can't grow back the vines! The troops kept up this strategy in battle while an Eclair Pikmin and Marth run off toward the place beyond the battle where Nectaron awaited.

Marth and the Eclair Pikmin had finally reached the top of a nearby hill where Nectaron's broken mech sat squirting out a bit of Nectar. As they looked around, large blobs of Nectar were scattered around the area. They proceeded onward to find Nectaron sitting atop one of the many blobs, laughing at the two. "So you decided to show up. Your battle skills will be nothing in comparison to mine, I hope you know. You can even get help from mister French face over there too. You are nothing compared to me."

"You are wrong, Nectaron. You just want us to believe that. However, with us all here now, you will be stopped."

"How dare you speak to me that way, filthy creature!? You eat other living beings! You're no different than a common beast! I will show you the stupidity of your ways by obliterating you in our duel!"

"Very well then." Marth takes out his sword as he prepares to fight. Nectaron laughs as he watches both Marth and the Eclair Pikmin prepare to fight.

The Eclair Pikmin shoots out some cream as the battle begins. Nectaron quickly dives down into the Nectar, dodging the cream as he swims around, mocking them. Marth tries to slash at him, but Nectaron swims off and darts into another bubble. Marth and the Eclair Pikmin continue to attempt attacks on Nectaron, but he's too fast in these bubbles! Nectaron sprays some Nectar out at the two, slowing them down while he jumps out and attacks them both before returning to the bubble. Marth is injured, but he keeps moving on. The two attempt another attack only to be retaliated at again. The Eclair Pikmin had one shot of cream left. Marth grabbed him while using him like a gun as Nectaron leaped to the next bubble. In the middle of his leap, Nectaron was caught by a hit of the cream! He was then sent tumbling down the hill towards the ongoing war while Marth and the Eclair Pikmin chased after him.

Down below, the battle was continuing at about the same pace as troops were lost while taking out vines. Marth had caught up to Nectaron as he fell close by to the Nectar Wraith. He had nowhere left to run while he was surrounded by Marth and the Eclair Pikmin. As Marth approached him, a giant popsicle missile crashed into the Plasma Wraith, freezing it as the savages and others began blasting apart the frozen creature. "You have nowhere left to hide and your monster is dead. Now only you are left."

"No! Please! Don't kill me! I'll do anything! Take all my resources! I don't care! Just don't kill me!"

"...You are a pathetic commander. You allowed your troops to die for your own escape and you cry for forgiveness when you would not give it yourself. I am not like you though." Marth takes his sword and puts it away. "Go away. Leave. I am only sparing you this one time. If you're caught again, it will end in death."

Nectaron goes running off in a panic as he falls over and drops a bunch of Petals before running off again. Marth walks off and away from the finished battle as the commanders look out over the lost soldiers. It's not all bad news though. As they all look on at where the Carnivorous once stood, they can see something. It's Captain Chaos! His base has been returned intact and so is he. The commanders are sad for the loss of their troops, but are glad to have Captain Chaos returned.

" Well, what do you say! We did it! This is going to be the biggest headline for the news! Now, first we need to find the casualties! Maybe some people are still alive in this yellow stuff! You know, sad stuff like casualties brings in the views! I might not sound sad, but I really am inside. Now, Marth, why did you spare Nectura even though he was a jerk?"
