The great battle is going to end with 3 years of peace. So my question is how are we handling the 3 year gap in game? Are we just using it to build the story, or are we going to make time actually pass in game by some margin?

Ok, I was just trying to find a way to make it coherent in the writing. thanks for clarification.
(for the story's sake, the meeting at gates estate is taking place in the future. It will make more sense that way.)
