What kind of army are you thinking about doing next version? Let's hear it! (Keep in mind that we may have separate rules for hocotatian armies next version).
I was thinking about doing a group of darkling creatures from another dimension. They believe their gods have sent them to conquer the pikmin planet.
I was also thinking about doing a group led a by a scientist hocotatian with no feeling what so ever, it's goal would be "Research" or seeing how the other armies react to various things, like attack.

My plan was to stick to merchanting... unless you guys ALREADY HATE ME If you need me to switch to combat I could do that too I suppose... I was gonna save that for version 3! MWHAHAHAHA!

Actually, you could still do merchanting and have combat units. I woulden't mind. If you do a hocotatian army, projects cost no petals...

OH MY GOD! NO PETALS?!?!?!??! *entire sky has opened up, and there is now pure joy and happiness*
But if I did hybrid, Pik Gates would have to... fight... and that would mess up his nice hair and monocle.
Peaceful Hocotatians? Non-combat weirdos who like gathering stuffs?
I don't know... I kinda like the petals now that I think about it...

how would removing petals from a certain type of commander be a benefit? Isn't petals our economy? How could a player play without adhering to the limitations of the economy!

Universal store.
Plus, hocotatians are going to have major limitations on troops and how high they can set prices for their stuff.

eww, cap quotas.
Pik Gates wants to stay independent for this next play though if that's cool.... Holocians seem to... limit his economic authority.

Seems too complicated. What if we just kept the petals for them and have it so that they complete projects faster or something?

Like... make race bonuses for pikmin wars?
Hocotatians +Research Times -Elite Bonuses
Koppaitians +petals -population growth (After all they cannot sustain a food source)
Wildlife +Population -Research
Tribal Pikmin +population +Resources -Research (Would be limited to what technology they can have)
maybe some more? idk..

I feel like hocotatians and koppians should be grouoed in the same catefories, not all kopians are intersted in food. And mot all hocotatians are intersted in money, like Olimar. Pikmin without a hocotatian leader would just be wildlife.

I've always been a fan of fire-based armies, but I might try something new and do a wind-based.
